What is Popkern?
I have had a strong passion for film since a young age, making films at home on my laptop and later on my iPad inspired by YouTube videos and my crazy ideas. Later in primary school, I learned the power of collaboration by making films with my friends. I made films for my high school and continued making my own. Now in sixth form, I do film studies and work with a small team of friends with Popkern Productions.
Why did you choose to make this as division of Joshua Productions?
Originally I produced films under Joshua Productions and that was the dream however upon reflection I realised that I must make my films a separate entity. I’m a creative kinda guy, I plan to open up other creative outlets such as screenplays, short stories and music (although I have no musical talent!). Popkern is good as it represents me, the creator, as Joshua Productions and my films as my creation Popkern Productions.
Why the name?
Sounds like Popcorn but kern.
